In terms of thinking about evil ...
... and what would be its opposite, it is important to understand the very nature of the framework set up in this way and its implications - any point of view that would see things as evil or as good would necessarily be in itself in a dichotomy, and would therefore always be to some extent arbitrary. A thought that is concerned with arriving at the truth, so that man could then be guided by it in his life, is one that must be unison. A man who observes nature, as Heraclitus pointed out, sees the alternation of day and night, winter and summer, life and death, always seeing in experience the constant change of one opposite into another. Thus, a man can arbitrarily set up in thought something as good and something as bad. However, as Nietzsche also pointed out in Beyond Good and Evil, in this way he did not recognize the very nature of what he thus dichotomized and remained limited by his own constructions. Therefore, seeing that all opposites, once set up, imply each other in a way that they alternate and constantly pass into each other, we conclude that they are ultimately one.
U pogledu mišljenja zla i onoga ...
Heraklit-
Three questions:
What does the implication that good and evil are one mean?
What is it that a person designates as good and evil, and yet only transcends both opposites?
What is one's guide in practice once the opposite of good and evil has been transcended?
Tri Pitanje:
